This policy explains what we do with the information you give us through this website. It is written to be read, not to protect us. If anything here is unclear, call Peter on 0405 671 811 and ask.
What we collect
Only what you type into one of our forms, or send us by email or phone. That is usually:
- your name;
- your phone number and email address;
- the address or suburb of your property;
- what you believe your property is worth, if you choose to tell us;
- anything else you write in the message field.
We do not ask for financial account details, identity documents or anything similar through this website. Please don't send them to us by email either.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, to assess your property's development potential, and to stay in touch about that enquiry if you want us to. That's all.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not add you to a marketing list without your say-so, and we do not pass your details to real estate agents.
Who else sees it
Form submissions from this website are delivered to our inbox through FormSubmit, a third-party form-handling service. Your submission passes through their systems on the way to us, and FormSubmit states it keeps a copy for up to 30 days before deletion. Email you send us is handled by our email provider in the ordinary way.
Beyond that, we only share your information where we genuinely need to in order to act on your enquiry, and where you'd expect it. For example, a conveyancer if a sale proceeds. We'll tell you if that's happening.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while there is a reasonable prospect of doing business together, and for a period afterwards in case you come back to us. Records connected to a completed transaction are kept for as long as tax and property law requires. If you'd like your details deleted sooner, just ask.
Confidentiality
Enquiries about selling are treated as confidential. We don't advertise that your property may be available, we don't put up signboards, and we don't tell your neighbours anything.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to see how visitors find and use the site — for example, which pages get read and roughly where visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this on our behalf. The information is aggregated and used to improve the site, not to identify you personally, and Google anonymises visitors' IP addresses. We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not use this to track you across other websites.
You can opt out by blocking cookies in your browser, or by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Our web host may also keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@house-proud.com.au or call 0405 671 811. We'll deal with it promptly and won't charge you.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your information, please contact Peter directly first so we can put it right. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
